Poitiers : capital of the Poitu-Charentes Provence
Poitiers is the largest city in the region and is known for its splendid architecture. We recommend visiting Notre Dame la Grande, the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, the Baptistère Saint-Jean, and the palais de Justice. Or just relax and enjoy the Parc de Blossac, le Jardin des Plantes, and la promenade du pré-l'Abbesse. You can also stroll down the picturesque streets of the medieval town center and take advantage of some excellent shops and restaurants.

The Gallo-Roman site at Sanxay :
The sanctuary at Sanxay is one of the oldest and most important Gallo-Roman sites. One can visit the ruins of the ampitheater, hot baths, and the temple.
